AS USUAL, THEY WHINE "I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG!".
These criminals that violate our laws, sneak into our country illegally, like burglars sneaking into our homes and stealing from us, always whine they haven't done anything wrong and demand their "rights". They have a right to be prosecuted; they have a right to be deported. That is their "rights"
They are correct in one respect, however. The recent crackdown on illegals and employers who hire them is just a pre-election sop to the anti-immigrant voters and a means to pave the way for acceptance of Bush's guest worker plot.

The Illegal Immigration Time Bomb by Alan Caruba March 14, 2006 06:24 PM EST
If Hillary Clinton were to be the Democrat Party candidate for President in 2008, one issue alone could defeat her. No matter who the Republicans run for President, one issue alone will prove an obstacle to victory. That issue is illegal immigration.
In her typically strident fashion, Sen. Clinton told a rally of immigrants on Capitol Hill that she opposed making illegal entry into the United States a felony and that the Republican proposal to round up illegal immigrations for deportation would turn the country into “a police state.” Mind you, they have already broken the law by sneaking into the U.S. or by over-staying their visas. The real problem for both the Democrats and Republicans is that America is now home to an estimated eleven million or more illegal immigrants.

Shockwaves from the massive demonstrations in support of humane immigration reform will be dramatic. Some reporters claim the demonstrations are "spontaneous", not organized by activists. That is a lie.
Activists organized the demonstrations, had signs painted for the people to carry, and even bussed loads in to participate. Some whine that this nation was built by immigrants and sobbingly quote the inscription on the Statue of Liberty.
It is true that this nation was built by immigrants --LEGAL immigrants, not criminal scofflaws. -------------------------------------

RADICAL MEXICAN GROUPS BEHIND IMMIGRATION RALLIES
FrontPageMag.com:
Who's Behind the Immigration Rallies?
It was not a spontaneous event. Signs were pre-printed for demonstrators to carry, demonstrators were bussed in from distant places, speakers were organized and equipment provided so crowds could hear, large numbers of American flags were passed out to be waved in order to impress TV viewers (the demonstrators brought their own Mexican and other foreign flags - clearly showing where their loyalties lay).

MEXICAN DEMONSTRATORS SAY US BELONGS TO THEM; "GRINGOS" (WHITES) HAVE TO GO
border=0> Mexica Movement activists protest in L.A. |
WASHINGTON - While debates about guest-worker programs for illegal aliens take place in the corridors of power, in the streets of America's big cities no amnesty is being offered by activists calling for the expulsion of most U.S. citizens from their own country.
While politicians debate the fate of some 12 million people residing in the U.S. illegally, the Mexica Movement, one of the organizers of the mass protest in Los Angeles this week, has already decided it is the "non-indigenous," white, English-speaking U.S. citizens of European descent who have to leave what they call "our continent."
The pictures and captions tell the story.
- "This is our continent, not yours!" exclaimed one banner.
- "We are indigenous! The only owners of this continent!" said another.
- "If you think I'm illegal because I'm a Mexican, learn the true history, because I'm in my homeland," read another sign.
border=0> |
"One of the more negative parts of the march was when American flags were passed out to make sure the marchers were looked on as part of 'America,'" said the group's commentary on the L.A. rally.
Both Rep. James Sensebrenner, R-Wis., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and a proponent of tougher border security, and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger were caricatured as Nazis by the group on its posters and banners.
The group insists the indigenous people of the continent were the victims of genocide - a campaign of extermination that killed, according to one citation, 95 percent of their population, or 33 million people. Another citation on the same website claims the toll was 70 million to 100 million.
The only solution, says the Mexica Movement, is to expel the invaders of the last 500 years, force them to pay reparations and return the continent to its rightful heirs.
The platform of the group illustrates the diverse - and sometimes extreme - agendas of those participating in the mass mobilizations that have been seen largely as protests against efforts to curb illegal immigration.
Some of those involved, including the Mexica Movement, have much bigger goals than stopping a piece of legislation before Congress.
border=0> |
The Mexica Movement has big issues with many other equally radical groups participating in the massive, united-front rallies. The group makes a point of distinguishing its goals and objectives from others, such as the separatist Aztlan Movement.
Aztlan, the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs, is regarded in Chicano folklore as an area that includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas. The movement seeks to create a sovereign, Spanish-speaking state, "Republica del Norte," or the Republic of the North, that would combine the American Southwest with the northern Mexican states and eventually merge with Mexico.
A group called "La Voz de Aztlan," the Voice of Aztlan, identifies Mexicans in the U.S. as "America's Palestinians." Many Mexicans see themselves as part of a transnational ethnic group known as "La Raza," the race. A May editorial on the website, with a dateline of Los Angeles, Alta California, declares that "both La Raza and the Palestinians have been displaced by invaders that have utilized military means to conquer and occupy our territories."
Others in the coalition hope to see a "reconquest" of the American southwest by Mexico. This would not likely take place through military action, they say, but rather through a slow process of migration - both legal and illegal.

Illegals - Bush decries border project
from The Washington Times. ----------------------------------------------------------- BUSH DECRIES BORDER PROJECT By James G. Lakely THE WASHINGTON TIMES ----------------------------------------------------------- WACO, Texas ? President Bush yesterday said he opposes a civilian project to monitor illegal aliens crossing the border, characterizing them as "vigilantes."
He said he would pressure Congress to further loosen immigration law.
More than 1,000 people ? including 30 pilots and their private planes ? have volunteered for the Minuteman Project, beginning next month along the Arizona-Mexico border. Civilians will monitor the movement of illegal aliens for the month of April and report them to the Border Patrol.
Mr. Bush said after yesterday's continental summit, with Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin at Baylor University, that he finds such actions unacceptable.
"I'm against vigilantes in the United States of America," Mr. Bush said at a joint press conference. "I'm for enforcing the law in a rational way."
The Minuteman Project was born out of a long-held perception among many residents that more Border Patrol agents are needed to handle the flow of illegal immigrants.
Mr. Bush was criticized by both Republicans and Democrats earlier this month for failing to add 2,000 agents to the Border Patrol, as set out in the intelligence overhaul legislation he signed in December.
The president's 2006 budget allows enough money to add only 210 agents for the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico.
Mr. Bush said he will "continue to push for reasonable, common-sense immigration policy." He has proposed legislation to grant guest-worker status to millions of illegal aliens already in the United States.
The legislation has attracted scant support in Congress, where it is widely regarded as another amnesty that will encourage even more illegal immigration.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, says Democrats have been willing to work with Mr. Bush, but that first the president must persuade congressmen of his own party to embrace his plan.
"Unfortunately, the right wing of the president's party continues to put forward proposals that neither help make progress towards comprehensive immigration reform, nor help truly protect our borders," Mr. Reid said.
Mr. Fox, who has said he seeks an open border, has applied constant pressure on Mr. Bush to get the guest-worker program through Congress. Mr. Bush has pledged that he will do all he can.
Mr. Fox said yesterday that his country is dedicated to making sure border crossings are legal and orderly. "We discussed the issue of border crossings and how we can protect our borders and be efficient along the border."
The official agenda of the one-day summit was centered on economic matters and the three leaders reached agreement on what they called the establishment of the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America," designed to build upon the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Mr. Martin said he pressed Mr. Bush to get the United States to drop its ban on the importation of Canadian beef ? imposed because of fears of spreading mad cow disease ? and to reduce tariffs on softwood lumber, but no commitments were made.
Canada earlier this year said it would not participate in the U.S. missile-defense program, and Mr. Martin said there is little chance he would change his mind. "On [missile defense], the file is closed," Mr. Martin said.
"But our cooperation in terms of defense, in terms of our borders, in terms of defense of our common ? our frontiers is very ? is not only very clear, but it is being accentuated."
Mr. Bush said he had not imposed a June deadline on North Korea to rejoin talks with the United States, Russia, South Korea, Japan and China with the intention of North Korea giving up its nuclear-weapons program.
"I'm a patient person," Mr. Bush said. "But the leader of North Korea must understand that when we five nations speak, we mean what we say."
Stephen Dinan contributed to this report from Washington.

Shutting Down Illegal Immigration
Illegals - Bane of America
Shutting Down Illegal Immigration 03/29/06 01:21 PM
Mark Kleiman has some good thoughts on immigration that are all well worth reading. In particular, he's probably right that severe penalties on employers that hire and exploit undocumented immigrants, along with verifiable national ID cards for all citizens and non-duplicable electronic worker identification documents, would probably do much to halt the flow of illegal immigration by reducing demand. (Robert Reich lays out a similar proposal in the American Prospect.) This will never happen in practicebusinesses will oppose it, because it would mean paying more in wagesbut it would certainly work better than current policies at stemming illegal immigration.
On the other hand, the downsides to this sort of regime are easy to see: Both the government and businesses would have an increased ability to gather information about individuals, and undocumented workers would have increasingly fewer job opportunitieswhich would, in turn, reduce remittances to sending countries. (Remittances from immigrants in the United States to developing countries totaled $90 billion last year.) In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to pit the interests of low-wage American workers against the interests of even lower-wage workers in developing countries, but that's what the current debate often boils down to. - Bradford Plumer
